About the PROJECT
In the realm of interior design, the saying "Less is more" finds its true embodiment in our recent sunroom project. The challenge was to reimagine a space that once housed study desks for the kids and transform it into an inviting haven without going out of a limited budget. The result? A testament to the power of simplicity and mindful design.
Client’s Vision
The client was wishing for change in the sunroom, wishing for the study space to have an atmosphere with warmth and tranquility. The catch, however, was a desire to keep the budget in check while incorporating the breathtaking natural surroundings visible through the room's expansive windows.
Strategic Design Choices
To achieve this vision, our design approach was grounded in strategic choices. Instead of using oversized furniture, instead we opted for incorporating desks crafted from real wood, complemented by wooden chairs adorned with linen fabric. The desk accessories, chosen for their simplicity and transparency, added a touch of elegance to the workspace.An imaginative touch came in the form of two meticulously selected artificial trees, strategically placed to create a seamless blend of outdoor and indoor living. While our preference always leans towards real plants, we worked within the client's wishes to foster a connection with nature, enhancing the overall serenity of the space.
Thoughtful Accents
To further enhance the ambiance, we introduced a wooden world map in the seating area, providing a subtle nod to exploration and curiosity. On an adjacent wall, the initials of the family members were tastefully displayed, adding a personalized touch to the space. The addition of a side table, an area rug, and carefully selected lamps completed the ensemble, contributing to the room's transformation. While the project itself was conceptually straightforward, the beauty lay in the meticulous execution, resulting in a space that radiates simplicity, functionality, and, most importantly, beauty.
Before and After
The true measure of success was the delight on the faces of the children when they returned home from school to witness the remarkable transformation.
